My entire childhood, my entire home, my community is just completely eviscerated.

We are grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire. Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this tragic event and we also wish to extend gratitude to all the firefighters, first responders and law enforcement who worked so tirelessly through the night and are still at it. We want to thank everyone for the incredible outpouring of support. It really means a great deal to us.

We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can't be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.

I might have lost my residence, but I haven't lost my resilience. It's really about the daily victories that we have in progress and mindset.

The loss that you’re going through, I share indirectly. It’s hit my family too.
